Take a look at some of the best games on PSP in 2008.

Patapon
Released: February 2008

The year began to the sound of drums as the innovative Patapon beat its way onto PSP. Using simple rhythms, tapped out on drums, you command a whole civilisation in a quest to reach World's End. Patapon is simple, addictive fun, wrapped in an iconic art style with a beat that will have you singing - Pata, Pata, Pata, Pon - before long.

God of War: Chains of Olympus
Released: March 2008

One of the most anticipated titles of 2008, Kratos' debut on PSP did not disappoint. Keeping the rhythm action-like style, intuitive actions and responsive attacks of its PlayStation 2 predecessors the Spartan anti-hero was once again tested by the Olympian Gods in this portable prequel to his story.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII
Released: June 2008

Another fan favourite, Crisis Core was eagerly awaited by Final Fantasy RPG followers. A prequel to the events of arguably the greatest title in this epic series, Crisis Core takes you back to Midgar, seven years before the events of Final Fantasy VII, putting you in the role of the ill-fated Zach.

Space Invaders Extreme
Released: July 2008

A new classic in the making. Space Invaders Extreme manages to pull off the impossible and improve on the original game concept. The addictive formula is unchanged and built upon with a wider range of enemies and power-ups that enhance your experience.

LocoRoco 2

Colourful, playful and mischievous, the LocoRoco are back in this second outing on PSP. Packed with more levels and more features than the original, the LocoRoco must find musical notes and sing to save their tilting world from the Moja, who are crooning a bad song that drains the life out of everything.
