Waiting for the 2010 FIFA World Cup to begin just got a little bit easier.
The beautiful game
As if you weren't excited enough already, 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa is out on PlayStation 3 and PSP this week to send you into fever pitch. It captures the carnival atmosphere of the world's greatest football competition and features the 199 national teams that entered qualification, so even Vanuatu fans can live out their dreams of lifting the FIFA World Cup trophy.
While many rival nations will be plotting their vengeance on the pitch this summer, you can relive Kratos' rampage of revenge in the God of War Collection on PS3. It includes God of War and God of War II, both first seen on PlayStation 2, remastered in High Definition and presented on one Blu-ray Disc.
For your third dose of retribution this week, reignite those beat 'em up rivalries with Super Street Fighter IV, the ultimate version of the fighting classic on PS3. It features all new online game modes, such as team battle and tournament, as well as new characters and a few returning favourites. By popular demand, it even brings back the bonus stages from Street Fighter II so you can batter a car and a room full of barrels in High Definition.
Lots more in Store
MAG players will want to check out the Fast Attack Gear Pack in PlayStation Store this week - it adds three new sniper rifles and a set of improved light armour for each faction. Best of all, it's completely free.
You can also pick up the Trials of St. Lucia pack for Dante's Inferno and wade through hell with a friend in 12 new arena based co-operative levels, as well as a playable demo for Wakeboarding HD. There's also extra content for Mega Man 10, Just Cause 2, Race Driver: GRID, Super Street Fighter IV and DJ Hero, all available now from PlayStation Store.
On PSP, there are two of games to download, starting with 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa, the portable version of the football simulator on PS3. Or for something completely different, check out Gensan and help a young carpenter protect his home town from Yakuza thugs.
