A million minis downloaded

Since their launch on PlayStation Store in October 2009, minis games have proved a hit with PSP and PS3 owners the world over.

In July 2010, bite-sized entertainment on PSP and PlayStation 3 hit the big time when the minis range of titles on PlayStation Store passed the one million downloads milestone

Launched in October 2009 and purpose-built for PSP and PS3, the minis category on PlayStation Store is home to a huge selection of games, all at tiny prices and all quick and easy to download to your system.

There are more than 85 minis from over 50 developers, including favourites like Pinball Fantasies and new classics like Monsters (probably) Stole My Princess from independent developer Mediatonic. And with more coming on-board every day, including Pacman CE from Namco Bandai Networks, gamers are set to have more choice than ever in the coming months.

Commenting on the success of minis, Zeno Colaco, vice president, Publisher and Developer Relations for Sony Computer Entertainment Europe said: “We’re always looking for exciting and unique content to offer our audiences and minis is exactly that: a huge variety of snackable gaming experiences that are easily accessible and great value for money. Thanks to minis, we offer a wide variety of content, be it games from smaller independent developers with small budgets to titles from more established studios. We’re proud to have reached this milestone and with new developers coming on board every day, bringing with them incredibly fun and creative games, we look forward to establishing minis as a firm favourite amongst the PlayStation community.”
