PlayTV just got even better

Enjoy a better picture and improved features with the latest free update for PlayTV.

PlayTV is the little black box that plugs into your PLAYSTATION 3 and lets you watch, pause and record free-to-air TV, and now you can make your viewing even better by downloading a host of new features for free.

Included in the latest PlayTV software update is an upscaler, which enhances the Standard Definition TV signal for a crisper and more vibrant picture. The Switch Back feature allows you to flick easily between the last two channels you watched and there are now extra fast forward and rewind speeds, letting you fly through the commercials in your recorded programmes with ease.

You can save time with the Live Direct feature, which lets you jump straight into live TV from your PS3 system’s Home Menu (XMB), and with the new volume settings, there are no more annoying changes in volume between different channels.

Getting this update couldn’t be easier. If you have performed an update before, simply select the Update Software icon from the PlayTV Main Menu.

If not, go to Settings in the PlayTV Main Menu and select About, followed by Game Update Check. That’s all you have to do to get the update, and the new Update icon will also be available on the PlayTV Main Menu from then on.

The PlayTV team is constantly working on new ways to improve your viewing experience, so keep an eye on eu.playstation.com for the latest news and find more information at playtvps3.com.
