The SingStar Crystal Mics competition is here to make one lucky winner the face of a forthcoming SingStar ad campaign.
There has never been a better reason to upload videos of your best performances to My SingStar Online and singstargame.com than our first talent competition, SingStar Crystal Mics.
As of now, the SingStar community will decide which performances are worthy of the grand final. The 30 finalists will then be selected to sing for a special guest judge.
All you need to do to get involved is keep doing what you do best; set up your PLAYSTATION Eye camera and upload a video of yourself performing any of the hundreds of tracks available. Only one lucky individual will get to be the new face of SingStar, but there are heaps of prizes to be had in the heat stages, including fancy dress kits and SingStar games, so start warming those vocal chords now.
The heats will be as follows:
Heat one: from March 24
Heat two: from April 7
Heat three: from April 21
Heat four: from May 5
Heat five: from May 19
The final heat will end on June 2, 2009 and once the 30 finalists have been chosen, you'll be able to vote for your who you think is going to win. The actual winner will be chosen by a special guest judge and announced on July 30, 2009.
Remember: becoming a true SingStar is about more than singing. It's all about the performance, so fancy dress and extravagant dance moves will always win you extra kudos.
