Comfortably Numb
Numblast follows the tragic tale of Japanese university students Aoyama and Akasaka. After an experiment with mysterious cubic artefacts, Aoyama accidently triggers a magic explosion that turns his colleague Akasaka into a monkey.
Your task is to help Aoyama turn his friend back human. The only way to do this is by solving the puzzles of Numblast, which means looking over a grid of numbered cubes, swapping their positions and creating a combination of four identical numbers in a two-by-two square.
Each time you do this, the cubes explode, giving you points. The more cubes you take out, the more levels you progress, and the closer you get to changing Akasaka back from a sad simian into a happy human.
A blast of fresh air
However, time is not on your side. The longer you take, the more unused blocks on the grid turn grey, making them impossible to shift if a collection of four grey cubes are stuck together. You can only get rid of them if they're included in a group of colour blocks you clear at the same time. When they all turn grey, it's game over.
There's help in the form of combos which can remove a vast amount of cubes simultaneously with a little bit of luck and planning. Each time you group four blocks of the same number together, they turn over to show another number - and if there are at least two other blocks touching of that same number, they'll all explode.
There are also special blocks which can remove all the blocks of the same number on the grid regardless of whether they're in your two-by-two square cluster or not.
