Not shaken but stirred

Secret Agent Clank proves that every good sidekick has his day.

Clank, Ratchet's diminutive partner and some might say the brains of the dynamic duo, gets his own outing on PSP this summer.

With a nod to Ian Fleming's famous creation the little robot with a big heart has been given the full super spy makeover by developer High Impact Games. Even if his snazzy new tuxedo seems to be spray painted on his metal chassis, our pint sized protagonist looks the bees knees in this fun spy spoof.

At the beginning of the game, we find Clank on a mission to protect the Eye of Infinity, the largest pristine gem in the universe. However, as he infiltrates the facility's security he discovers that someone has just beaten him to it. As the perpetrator trips an alarm and security teams flood the scene, the culprit is revealed to be none other than... Ratchet!

Robot Guards, Tank Bots and Robot Guard Dogs stand between you and the evidence you hope will prove the innocence of your best buddy... Or has the unthinkable happened! Has Ratchet really gone bad?

This gorgeous cutscene kicks off a third person action-adventure that will see you searching for clues across the galaxy to clear the name of Ratchet.

Playing through the tutorial level pits you against squads of adversaries patrolling the facility and sweeping searchlights. Being spotted causes the alarm to be raised and security to rush to apprehend you. Thankfully you can defend yourself with a few nifty super spy karate chops.

However, the real awards are given for stealth and sneaking, and almost every adversary can be avoided or fooled. For instance, as you search the crime scene in the opening tutorial level, Clank can jump onto empty pedestals and pose as a statue amongst the other art exhibits to hide from security.

In addition to the action and stealth, Secret Agent Clank features a number of puzzle elements to keep you on your toes and mix up the game experience into an enjoyable cocktail of spy foolery.

Last but by no means least there are of course the gadgets. What self respecting spy would not have a few tricks tucked up their sleeve, and with Clank's robotic nature he has the luxury of being one big walking sleeve of jiggery-pokery! During levels, Agency drop boxes provide much needed support in the form of new gizmos, such as the Tie-A-Rang, whirling buzz saw-like blades that can be thrown and are concealed - as you guessed it - as your bowtie.

High Impact Games has added all of the right ingredients into the mix and stirred it up for a spy-tastic summer on PSP, with Secret Agent Clank.
